ML STEWART OUTSTRIPS BRAM STOKER AND JANE AUSTEN...

... Yeah! So stick that in your pipe and smoke it you dead b+stards!

Courtesy of Kindle UK's free promotion of  The Facebook Killer: Part One I now have over 4,000 readers (this includes Smashwords and Authonomy). I have an inbox full to bursting point with people asking me when Part 2 will go live. The life of a giveaway author is indeed hectic.

Not only am I finishing off the final instalment of Facebook Killer, but I am moving out of my villa in two weeks, to a safer haven. When the tourists start taking photographs off your home from boats and cars with darkened windows...it's time to move (again).

I have become tired of typing "The Facebook Killer: Part One", so from now it will be referred to as FBK1.
Anyway FBK1 is still number 1 in Kindle UK's free thrillers and number 4 in the free 100. I have received my first 5 star review (and no, it wasn;t written by my Great Aunt Doris. I will post it at the end of this blog.
I take great satisfaction in seeing FBK1 above Bram Stoker's Dracula and Pride & Prejudice. Not to mention alongside such greats as Stephen Leather. OK there is a slight difference, one word actually, Mr. Leather's book is under the heading PAID, mine is under the heading FREE. So who wins? You guessed it!

Now, there is a great temptation at this point to publish FBK2, jump on the gravy train and start making some cash, but then I would have to end the story with part 3. A trilogy? I think not. I realise that I will lose some readers by not publishing right now, but having said that, the readers who actually enjoyed part 1 will wait. I hope.

The screenplay for my first book The Sunday Club is now complete. I haven't had time to continue my work on the modern day version of the bible. It is still at 7,500 words. Both these projects are now on the backburner until FBK2 is completed.

What the hell ! I don't know why I'm wasting my time talking to you lot, I've got a book to finish.

Dermott Madison is a successful banker in the city leading a predictable, safe and happy life even if it does mean working long hours at times.

After a particularly long day at work he returns home to find his house burned down with his wife and daughter both inside, dead. He suffers horrific burns as a result of trying to rescue them.

After a long period of convalescence he finds himself emotionally empty, unable to grieve for his family. That is until the day when Abdul Hamid, the man accused of killing his daughter and wife gets off scott free on a technicality.

Dermott decides to get his own revenge on Hamid. He uses social networking sites to track down those closest to Hamid and inflicts his own special brand of 'justice' to avenge his loved ones. Dermott uses various disguises in his 'work' and as things progress he becomes more and more wrapped up in the individual personalities he is using and ultimately more unstable in real life.

You can't help but empathise with Dermott, what he has been through and the injustice of it. However, throughout the book as his actions escalated I was left questioning whether 'an eye for an eye' can ever be justified.

This is a fascinating story which really makes you consider your own use of social networking sites and how much information a stranger could find out about your own life if they really tried.

I absolutely loved this book; it was so easy to read and I just could not bear to put it down for more than a few minutes at a time. Consequently I ended up reading it in a day and feeling sad that I had finished it. The book isn't concluded at the end, the final page gives us the message that part two will be released shortly - I will definitely be keeping a look out for it.

There are a few minor spelling errors, as there often are with Kindle editions, but in no way do they detract from the enjoyment of reading this book.

If you like thrillers with a real human interest factor then you will love this book.

Absolutely amazing part one can't wait for part two
And would definitely buy the full edition.

With the writing skills in this book I will definitely be reading more of your stuff - haven't found an author I've enjoyed this much since Patricia Cornwall - gripping story line.
Well done x
